The Great Orme tramway

How lucky we were once again with the weather, taking an early tram up to the summit of the Great Orme, 230 metres above Llandudno coast, (you can see it in the photo below, behind the pier )with clear skies, warm temperatures and hardly a breath of wind.

There are many ways to the top -car, bus, cable car or tramway. We chose the most traditional method, the lovely little one carriage Victorian  tram.

Perfect weather as we set off and for most of the walk, but just as we turned back to take the tram down, the mist rolled in. Really fabulous to experience in this extremely beautiful clifftop area with its long stone fences and limestone pavements.

So here the last of my Welsh lessons. 2 signs i particularly enjoyed.

I would not have guessed that newid meant changing ! Now I know 😀

Back to Llantwit now , and tomorrow my lifelong dream of visiting my all time favourite pop group's home town, Liverpool.
