After a trip round the main tourist points by bus, we visited a really interesting exhibition at the Maritime Museum on the Titanic. Next, another must do - a trip across the Mersey to the music of Gerry and the Pacemakers.
As you can see, it was pretty murky but no rain, and the trip offered a completely different perspective of the city.
Of course, you are never far away from the Fab Four. These sculptures have only been in place near the ferry terminal for a month or so.
We also visited the Anglican cathedral I mentioned yesterday. It is the biggest Anglican cathedral in Britain and 5 th largest in the world. It is truly massive and certainly worth a visit, though the dark stone and huge columns make it somewhat oppressive and a little unwelcoming.
The Catholic cathedral, not far away , is very different, a huge circular church with the most incredible stained glass dome and lots of light.
Next stop, the Philharmonic pub, a magnificent old pub with ornate wooden walls, massive chandeliers, fabulous copper carvings and an extremely comfortable lounge.
The day once again finished with another trip to the Cavern. Sadly the singers were not as good as yesterday, but the whole experience was nevertheless fabulous.
Half day left here tomorrow to visit the Beatles museum and then home to Llantwit for the night.
