Concarneau

The day started with a couple of hours of fantastic music in the fortress of the old town. Much livelier than yesterday's.

After a boat trip around the port and out to sea in rather cold biting wind, I took off alone for a longish walk round the coast to a headland. Wow, how spectacular and the sun was with me most of the time! It was also gloriously peaceful after the bustling crowds in the old town. I was mostly alone, so plenty of time to stop and stare. This beach below was right at the tip of a small peninsula and it was simply gorgeous to find a sheltered spot on the beach to try to catch up with my diary. Only the gentle lapping of the waves to disturb the silence.

Here a view back to Concarneau ,its port and old town ramparts as i returned home.

Although i am starting to get to grips with my wonderful Ipad, i have a long way to go to achieve the same photo quality as with the camera. Still, I am thrilled to be able to keep you updated with these beautiful places.

Back to Pam's tomorrow for a couple of days.

Cheers
