Back at Pam's after great week

Home again and a cold and rainy day gives me a chance to finish the Brittany part of my blog before i head to the Loire, to Angers, for a couple of nights before I have to face the reality of packing up and leaving my lovely flat and PFAEFFIKON.

The entire trip around the northern, western and southwestern coasts of Brittany was fantastic. We were incredibly lucky with the weather, with generally fine, sometimes overcast days, but nothing that stopped our enjoyment of the beautiful places we visited.

On the way home we visited Pont Aven. As one neighbour of Pam's described it 'very twee'. It was really cute and really picturesque. If you are interested in paintings then this is the perfect place with galleries everywhere and information boards with photos of paintings done at that spot by such famous artists as Gauguin.

The entire village has been built around the small river and with 35 mills and probably the same amount of pretty little bridges, the lovely stone cottages simetimes high on the hills above, the fabulous flowers everywhere, it was a really gorgeous place.

Mr favourite places visited? A tricky one when ariund every corner lies either more dramatic coastline, a more beautiful village or a fascinating town. Probably Pointe de Raz will lure me back and i would love to spend more tine on the Granite Coast of the north. I just love the rugged beauty there.
