What a beautiful morning view from Trudi's lovely home.
I love arrival in Wales with all its fantastic photos and bilingualism.
As always it is a real family time here in Wales. With most of the family living within five minutes of others , getting together is easily done. It's great and I will certainly miss my visits here when I am back inNZ.
After a day of cloud and rain yesterday, we awoke to a perfect day. After a very good brunch in a lovely stone barn attached to a cafe, we headed to Ogmore beach and for the first time I experienced a really low tide there, so walking on the beach was marvelous.
What a gorgeous place with all its cliffs, rocks and sand patterns.
The light was perfect as the family, two dogs and I meandered along enjoying the many rock pools, stones and shells along the way.
It really is a wonderful place for all the family
I loved the light on the water and the fabulous shapes of the pools.
Then yesterday we headed into the Valleys ( one of my mother's dying wishes was to go back to the valleys, but she did not get there) to Breacon. Ceri, Annie and I, of course with Molly the dog, had a gorgeous walk through the forest there. Wales is really a beautiful place.
Now back to Switzerland for a few days before my trip to Italy , first with Dennis to Sicily, then with Joy to Ravenna. 😀
Five weeks today I will be landing in New Zealand. Getting so excited about seeing Mark and David, and my NZ friends again but it will be hard to leave in many ways.
